Dakshini Sambhar Masala

Sambhar is a almost daily food item in a South Indian household. It can be served with numerous items like rice, idlis, vadas, dosas etc. Taste the rich flavors of South Indian food with Himadri’s Sambhar Masala.

Ingredients :

Coriander, Chilli, Fenu Greek, Cumin, Gram Dal, Urad Dal, Asafdetida, Curry Leaves

Recipe: Use for Sambhar 1/2 cup red gram dal, 2 tbsp oil, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 2 small onions sliced finely, 1 potato-peeled and cut into 4 or 5 pieces, 1 carrot-cut into round slices, 1 drumstick or 5 - 6 french beans-cut into 1 inch long pieces, 1 small brinjal-cut into 1-inch cubes, a pinch of turmeric powder, a lemon sized ball of tamarind, a tiny piece of jaggery, salt to taste, a few coriander leaves, 4 tbsp freshly grated coconut.
For Taste add: 6 whole dry red chillies, 2 tsp coriander seeds, 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds, 1 tsp Bengal gram dal, 1/4 tsp cumin seeds, few curry leaves, 2 tsp Himadri Sambar Masala, 1 tsp oil
